Yussupova Cocktail is a drink that is part of the vodka and cranberry juice cocktail family. These two ingredients together have given life to many cocktails such as the most famous Cosmopolitan or Madras. In addition to cranberry juice and vodka, it also contains Bitter Campari, which makes it a perfect drink as an aperitif. The bitter bitter in fact tends to stimulate the appetite. It’s part of the short cocktail and is served in a cocktail glass and for the preparation it’s used the Boston Shaker or the normal shaker.
The History of Yussupova Cocktail
The history of this cocktail is not clear, I have not found a precise date or place of creation. The only certain thing is that this cocktail is dedicated to two very famous women, even if they belong to different eras. The first is Princess Zenaide Yussupova of the Romanov court (1856-1923), while the second is the Kazakhstan gymnast Aliya Yussupova (1984), winner of many medals in the discipline of rhythmic gymnastics.
- Boston Shaker
- Cocktail Cup
- 30 ml Vodka
- 15 ml Bitter Campari
- 15 ml Lemon Juice
- 15 ml Cranberry Juice
Decorate with a lime zest
- Put ice in the glass to cool it down.
- In one half of the Boston pour the ingredients. Once poured, add some ice in the other half, close and shake for a few seconds.
- Throw the ice out of the glass and pour the cocktail through a colander. Decorate with a lime zest.
