Korean Cuisine is truly varied, full of soups, spicy noodle dishes and fermented foods. Like any other Oriental cuisine, it is complete with meat, fish, vegetables, cereals etc. Try dishes like Tteokbokki, a dish consisting of sautéed rice cakes with vegetables in a sweet or hot pepper sauce. Kimchi, vegetables fermented with Gochujang chilli paste, eaten as an accompaniment to rice or to prepare other recipes. The colorful Bibimbap, which is a bowl of white rice topped with different toppings including a raw egg, typical of the New Year. Do not forget the desserts such as those of glutinous rice, with their particular elastic consistency, ice creams accompanied by sweet bean jam and condensed milk.
