Cinnamon Apple Smoothie with Almonds and Hazelnuts

Today I decided to prepare a nice Cinnamon Apple Smoothie with Almonds and Hazelnuts as a snack! Nothing complicated, apple, delicious Greek yogurt, almonds, cinnamon and two really interesting ingredients.
The first is simple ground black pepper, an ingredient that we all have at home but a bit strange to find in an apple smoothie, but I must say that with an extra spicy touch together with cinnamon. A more fruity variant could be pink pepper.

The second ingredient, is a Honey and Hazelnut Spreadable Cream, it’s a bio product. There are different flavors of strawberry, blueberry, almond, hazelnut and they are all delicious. I currently had the hazelnut one but you can try the almond one since they are already present in the recipe. The apple cinnamon smoothie is a classic but you can create really tasty variations like this one, which tastes like a delicious apple pie!

How to Make Apple Smoothie

Making a smoothie isn’t one of the more complicated preparations, but some types of fruit like pears, apples and bananas require some little attention. They are fruits that tend to oxidize air once peeled, or rather become dark. The most common and effective method is certainly sprinkle with lemon or lime juice. But in some cases it may not be good because it would alter the taste of the recipe. 

Two small tricks to put into practice are to peel these types of fruit last or, insert them first and pour the yogurt over them which will preserve their appearance. They may seem like two banality but they make the difference between having a nice snowy and fresh smoothie and an oxidized one.

Prepare the cinnamon apple smoothie  and serve it cold. Decorate the glass with one or two straws and apple slices, or cover the edge of the glass with the honey cream that you used to prepare it!

  • Mixer


  • 245 g Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Apple
  • 18 Almonds
  • 10 g Honey and Hazelnut Cream
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon
  • to taste Black Pepper


  • Wash and peel the apple. Remove the core and cut it into pieces.
  • Weigh the other ingredients and put everything in the blender glass including ice.
    Serve immediately.
